Seals live naturally on land as well as in the sea, and they spend a prolonged time on the beaches around Horsey Gap to give birth to their pups and subsequently to moult into their new fur coats. This offers many diferent photo opportunities, which our teenaged customers and their guardians can take advantage of while having support with their camera settings and any other photographic aspects.
The Seal Photography for Teenagers workshop in Norfolk is aimed at children, aged 12 to 16 years, who have an interest in photography and wildlife. This photography workshop will be offered during the grey seal pupping and moulting seasons around Horsey Gap. The teenagers will have the opportunity, not only to photograph the grey seals and learn how to best approach this from a technical and an approach perspective, but also to gain knowledge about the seals and their life out at sea and at land.
Like on all our photography experiences, the teenagers and their guardian will have the opportunity to learn about photography through the option of having a 30-minutes online photography tuition session prior to the photography workshop. Furthermore, they and their guardians will have access to 1-to-1(2) advice and support throughout the event and will be guided to good positions, from where they can take photos of the seals safely and without causing stress to the marine mammals (or any other wildlife).
We limit the number of participants on the Seal Photography for Teenagers workshop in Norfolk to 2 children plus one guardian each. This will benefit the young participants as I will be able to provide them with the required support and we will be able to find good positions for each child and their guardian more easily.

The Seal Photography for Teenagers workshop in Norfolk will cost £143.50 for 1 child and 1 guardian. The fee includes support on any photography aspect throughout the workshop and the option to have a 30-minutes online tuition session prior to the photography workshop plus a contribution of 20% to the Friends of Horsey Seals. Not included in the price are any catering or parking fees. We recommend, bringing a flask with a hot drink and any snacks, you may wish to have during the workshop duration.
The teenagers and their guardian will also become members of Big Cat & Nature Photography for one year.
