Besides our pre-scheduled group photography workshops and photo days we offer also
Customised Wildlife and Nature Photography Experiences

on a 1-to-1 basis or for small groups of friends, family members or of any other associations, e.g. photography clubs or other interest groups.

Whether you would like to learn more about how your camera works and how to use the exposure settings and other camera features to get better images, or you would like to learn more about how to approach wildlife or landscape photography we will tailor a customised photography workshop completely around your or your group's requirements.

Customised photography experiences are available in form of
  • Photography Courses
    (including a prolonged or multiple classroom style tuition sessions during the event),
  • Photography Workshops
    (including a tuition session at the beginning, followed by photographing the wildlife or landscapes at a venue of your choice while having support on hand throughout the day),
  • Photo Days
    (mainly photographing wildlife at zoos, wildlife parks, private cat collections or in natural habitat areas while having access to advice on any photography questions)

The photography experience date and venue will be arranged in line with your requirements. We have arrangements to provide customised photography experiences at the following venues:
  • Colchester Zoological Society for zoo photography with a wide variety of big cats, African wildlife, primates and more
  • Norfolk coast seals; best between November and March
Other venues are possible as well; depending on the approval by their managements. Please let us know what your preferred options in view of venue and date are, and we will check availability and confirm the appropriate venue. The photos on this page provide some examples of what participants can photograph at the above-mentioned different venues.

The price for a one-to-one customised photography experiences depends on the type of photography experience, the venue's terms and our expenses. As a guideline the following prices apply for one-to-one photography workshops:
  • £190 at the Colchester Zoological Society
  • £210 at the Norfolk coast
Discounts are available when 2 or more people book together (for example the discount will be 20% for 2 people and respectively 35% when booking the photography experience for 3 people; applicable to all above-mentioned venues).

You can book a Customised Photography Experience by complete the form below, and provide us through this with details about your requirements and where you would like to have your personalised photography course, workshop or photo day (please note when booking a customised photography course that not all of the above-mentioned venues have a room for tuition sessions available).

If you are happy to formalise your booking by paying the fee (please only if you book for one person as we will need to provide the discount code if you want to book for 2 or 3 people), you can proceed to our online shop via the 'Payment Link' (in the green message box that comes up after you have submitted the booking form) to pay either the deposit or the full fee from there (depending on when you book / the full fee is required when buying a gift voucher or when booking 4 weeks or less prior to the photography workshop date). If you would like to book a Customised Photography Experience for a friend or family member, you can also buy a gift voucher and agree the date at a later stage.
