Amur Tiger - Taiga

The Amur tigers have always been very popular with zoo visitors and naturally also with photography workshop participants. As the largest big cat species on the planet, they are obviously part of our Big Cat Photography workshop, though they are often also part of our children's photography workshops and even the African Photography Safari one.
Taiga is one of two female tigers at the Colchester Zoological Society. She is the mum of Tatana, the other tiger at the zoo. Taiga is sometimes a little bit shy, but this may present great photo opportunities as well for example when she is hiding in the bushes like in this photo.
