Naturewatch Foundation Film
23rd March 2021
You may know that I have done badger surveys in the past and that I did in this sense also monitored badger setts in view of illegal activities. This and in particular badger baiting unfortunately still occurs and during lockdown, I have very sadly found that badger baiting and other wildlife crime have increased (I found a sett being dug in April last year and was told by other people who monitor setts in the area that they have made similar observations) .
In this context, I was delighted when I received an e-mail from the Naturewatch Foundation, sharing that they have launched a NEW-16-minutes short film about badger baiting on their YouTube channel. This film is part of their School Awareness Programme to raise awareness of this evil activity among teenagers.
Please check out the film Raising Awareness for Badger Crime, and share this to help raising awareness and through this stop these cruel crimes. You can report any suspicious activities in confidence to the Animal Crime Manager, Andrew Swinburne at the Naturewatch Foundation via e-mail at andrew@naturewatch.org or by phoning Andy directly under 07392-185 373.
