Big Cat Photography Workshop for Teachers

Based on a query by a customer we added a couple of dates for the Big Cat Photography workshop at the Colchester Zoological Society this coming half-term. The structure of the workshop and the (winter) timings for these workshops will be the same as for the Big Cat Photography workshops, which we offer on a regular basis at the Colchester Zoological Society. The only difference is that the workshops on Thursday, 19 and Friday, 20 February 2026 are primarily for teachers and university staff; people who are generally not able to attend events during school terms.
As on all of our photography workshops, participants will have the opportunity to learn about photography or respectively improve their existing skills while taking photos, in this case of the big cats (and some of the other wildlife species on our route). Participants will have the opportunity to photograph the lion, Bailey, the Amur leopards, the Amur tigers and usually one of the cheetahs from the public areas at the Colchester Zoological Society. This gives you the chance to learn, how to take photos through glass or fences as well as to learn about the natural behaviour of the big cats, which will enable you to anticipate photo opportunities and through this capture interesting images.
The Big Cat Photography workshop for Teachers comes of course also with the option to have a 30-minutes online session prior to the photography workshop. This allows us to tailor tuition to meet the requiremens for every participant individually.
