Our next photography experiences will be the Birds of Prey & Leopard photo day at the Rutland Falconry on 12 May 2018 and
the Big and Small Wild Cats photo day at the Cat Survival Trust on 18 May 2018.

Spaces are still available on both events.

Nature Photography Courses

We are currently reviewing the approach for our Nature Photography courses and possible venues, which will provide our customers with the opportunity to learn photography in more depth and the chance to photograph wildlife in its natural habitat.

Fallow Deer Stags at Bradgate Park

In this sense, we plan to continue providing a full-day Basic Nature Photography course plus a half-day Nature and Wildlife Photography workshop during the deer rut season:

Bradgate Park will be the venue for both events and the following dates have been confirmed for the Basic Nature Photography course here in 2018:
25 May 2018 (Friday) - availability > 3 spaces
8 June 2018 (Friday) - availability > 3 spaces
6 July 2018 (Friday) - availability > 3 spaces

The Basic Nature Photography course will be aimed at photographers, who would like to learn more about photography in general and how to use their camera's settings to get better images. Besides technical photographic aspects, we will cover how to approach wildlife and landscape photography. Our venues are selected to ensure our photography course participants will have a wide variety of wildlife, landscapes and other natural subjects to practise their newly learnt skills with.

This full-day photography course will include one class-room session, where we will cover the technical photography aspects before going into the park to photograph deer, water fowl, other wildlife and the landscape along the River Lin and across other parts of the park. We will meet in the Newtown Linford car park at Bradgate Park from 8:45 onwards for a 9am start. The day will finish at 5pm.

Based on feedback from our Nature Photography courses at Bradgate Park in 2017, we plan to offer half-day Nature and Wildlife Photography workshops during the deer rut season at Bradgate Park. The photography workshops will either start early in the mornings (6:30am) or in the early afternoon (12:30pm). The photography workshops in the morning will end at 11:00am, and the one in the afternoon will finish at 5:00pm. Our customers will have the option to book the morning and afternoon workshops individually or book both together
(staying the entire day).

As the workshops will include some walking across the hills in the park, some of our customers may prefer the option to be able to book only half-a-day, or book 2 half-day workshops on different days.

We have asked Bradgate Park for permission to provide the Nature and Wildlife Photography workshops on the following dates in 2018:

11 October 2018 (Thursday) - availability > 3 spaces
12 October 2018 (Friday) - availability > 3 spaces
18 October 2018 (Thursday) - availability > 3 spaces
19 October 2018 (Friday) - availability > 3 spaces
We expect to receive confirmation for the dates or alternative dates by February 2018.

On both photography experience events, your guide and tutor will be our professional photographer who has worked with wildlife conservation for many years, and participants will have hence the benefit to learn not only about photography, but also about the wildlife and how this knowledge can help to get better photos.

The price for the full-day photography course at Bradgate Park is £99 per person. This will include a welcome drink in the morning plus lunch. The price for the Nature and Wildlife Photography workshops here is £59 per participant when booked individually or £99 for 2 workshops, booked together. The price for the photography workshop includes a drink either during a break
(on the morning workshops) at the beginning/size] (on the afternoon workshops).

In order to make the Basic Nature Photography course and the Nature and Wildlife Photography workshops most beneficial to all participants, we apply a maximum number of 6 participants per event
(minimum number of 4 participants).
